Navigating Real Life Diversity with Our Kids
Thank you to all who took part in our diversity and inclusion series during the 2014-15 school year!
The collaborative brainstorming around the Alliance Building Scenarios at the end of the final session of the 2014-2015 'Navigating Real Life Diversity' PTA Council series was exciting. These are publicly available here so you can have access to perspectives and responses of others - "cross-pollinating ideas". These responses illustrate where people's interests are in terms of what they want to talk about, where their questions lie, and the wisdom within our community.
Together, let's take steps towards making sure our conversations and actions help create real change for our kids and our community.
Please consider the following steps:
1) continue the dialogue at home and in your communities
2) take the suggested recommendations to your schools (principals, PTA's, etc) for consideration, consider taking action by joining your school parent group, PTA and/or the PTA Council, and
3) consider the services of Dr. Gilo Logan (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Biz Lindsay-Ryan (email@example.com).
