Corrie Wallace is a product of Evanston/Skokie School District 65 and District 202, is deeply committed to equity work, and proud to be a member of the District 65 family. She started out teaching Spanish at ETHS and went on to teach in Tokyo and Singapore. Over the years, she's worked with immigrant and refugee families as well as traditionally underrepresented parents in helping them learn how to navigate the school system here in the USA. For the past three years, Corrie was the Director of Equity at Niles North ELL, leading efforts to close the “gap,” eliminate the racial predictability of student achievement, and address disproportionality in District 219 - one of the most diverse high school districts on Chicago’s north shore. She am a founding member of the Illinois Coalition of Educational Equity Leaders and since 2008 has presented on a variety of topics at numerous conferences across the United States.
